Situated in an attractive building in the historic centre, Hostaria alla Tavernetta provides the family atmosphere of local meeting places. Here, Roberto Romano and his wife, Giuliana Petris, assisted in the kitchen by chef Antonio Mereu and helped by their son Matteo, run this splendid restaurant with enthusiasm and professionalism that has been perfected by long-standing experience.

Besides the dining room on the ground floor, which can host approximately fifty customers, the restaurant has two very refined dining rooms upstairs, suitable for private dinners or working lunches. But the real surprise is its delightful terrace, which can host up to twenty, for a magical evening overlooking the Duomo.

In the dining room, the light entering the windows highlights objects that recall bygone atmospheres, the extremely attractive wooden dresser with mirror shelves, the fireplace, and the arches and columns of the old tavern. Everything is made more hospitable with wood flooring, bottles of wine filling every corner at random, with fresh flowers adding an extra touch of class to the restaurant.

Instead, on cold winter evenings, customers can find a table in front of an attractive lit fireplace, delighting their palates with the characteristic dishes of the Friuli tradition, with seasonal produce. Likewise, the wine cellar offers a wide choice of regional and Italian wines, as well as some foreign pearls for the most demanding palates. Not to mention sparkling wines, such as a good Franciacorta as an aperitif, but by choice, the champagne list is restricted to requests.
